Copa Podio came to America for the first time. The popular grappling promotion from Brazil is landed in Vacaville, California for Copa Podio California on March 8th. UFC veterans were on the bill to face each other with Urijah Faber and Dustin Ortiz in the main event.

The Main Event was UFC veterans Urijah Faber and Dustin Ortiz with the co-main event featuring another pair of MMA fighters, Danny Castillo and Carlos Rocha.

The card also included two Grand Prix style tournaments. The preliminary card had a “California Grand Prix” featuring some of the top blackbelts from California. The main card put on a “Lightweight Grand Prix” featuring names like Jeremy Jackson, Guthierry Barbosa and Leonardo Silva.
